Like a Phoenix.....
From the ashes....Hay party people! It's been so long since I've been here I thought I'd step in and try to clear the cobwebs out, so to speak. I almost have the urge to blog again but am torn - do I do my business here or pick a new slot in cyberspace??? I have such fond memories of this space here. It needs some updating and such, perhaps some modernization ....and some link overhauls but definitely still in good working order. Something to think about. If this ends up working for me I'll post again with a brief life update... Hugs and kisses... Lili ~Lili~ at 3:43 PM | Monday It's been too long...I know this. I just don't have the time to post any more and I think this blog may have run it's course. I can't use it as I once did and now it seems tedious to post. I'll miss the back and forth comments and the wonderful people who have visited me but I am not a fan of doing things half assed and that's kind of what it feels like. I'll keep it up because quite frankly that is jow I manuever around and check out what is going on in all of your fabulous lives....but more than likely the posting days of Flights of Fancy have come to an end.... The hubby and I had a fan-fucking-tastic time in Vegas! We stayed at the Palms and with the exception of a 3 hour business meeting I had we never left the hotel. Monday was a bit slow, except for fantastic sex and a nap. When we woke up we were able to catch the last 30 minutes at the pool and while there admiring the sights we came across Suge Night - infamous in many ways but known for being the CEO and co-founder of Death Row Records as well as being one of the last people to see Tupac alive. He was hanging out at the pool with some friends -    I have no idea who his friends were but I got a bit nervous when I was taking the picture and it looked like they were pointing at me...uh no Sir Mr Uh Suge err Mr Night. He's a big boy! That night I was hoping for a nice dinner out but we ended up...wait Mr Husband ended up doing too many shots at the pool and had to eat immediately so we checked out the Mexican Restaurant downstairs. It was nice but we are entirely too spoiled by the wonderful cuisine in our neck of the woods. My meeting was the next morning and when I finished at 10:30 we headed down to the pool. There were beautiful people everywhere and my hubby was happy to see this in front of us ...  It's hard to tell in the pic because I didn't have time to zoom but the girl is wearing a G-string and she had a nice ass. That's my drink in the cup shaped like a woman on the right and my tuna wrap on my lap. We ended up meeting and drinking with some fantastic people the entire time....which ended up being about 5 hours. The husband and I were social butterflies and he kept buying everyone drinks. I won't even tell you what the alcohol bill was but suffice it to say I would not have been able to write that off as a business expense! We ended up with people back in our room as they cleaned up for their flight home and then as soon as they left we both passed out at about 6 pm almost until the next morning. We both woke up with terrible hangovers but were able to pull through and check out by 9 am. What a crazy time!!

On Mother's Day we woke at the crack of dawn and were gone by 7 am so we could set up at church. C offerred to let me sleep in but then he would have had to make the 55 mile trip 3 times. It worked out wel because after church we cruised down to Laguna and walked on the beach where we got married. We also climbed up on the rocks and checked out the tidepools... lots of sea urchins, anenomes, and even star fish! I loved it! We were kind of hungry and since we were heading to mom and dad's to bar-b-que but weren't starting until 4 pm or so we stopped in and had some sushi at about 11:30. I love that C eats sushi now - it's such a treat! The rst of the day was spent at mom and dad's hanging out in the pool and jacuzzi - drinking too much wine and then playing some dominoes. After dinner I crashed on the couch for almost an hour before we drove home. It was very nice and relaxing. Went by way too fast though! This is going to be a quick week for me - I'm in the office for 2 days and then in Los Angeles on Wednesday and Vegas Thursday through Sunday - I can't wait to take Maxine!
~Lili~ at 11:45 AM | I am in Huge Love Huge love - yes I said it - HUGE LOVE - never in my life have I loved a car so much. It's an amazing feeling and yes I realize a bit materialistic but fuck it. I work hard and I drive 55 miles each way to work - to have a car that I actually enjoy driving for 3 to 4 hours each day is a DREAM! I actually park her where I can see her from my office window so I can stand up, stare and wave at her... yes it is weird but I am ok with that. I can't wait to cruise her to Vegas next week! I do need to come up with a name for her - I thought of Vivienne cuz of the "VVVVV" factor - C came up with Stella but I associate that with a person who I am not too fond of - I also thought of Tess but am still not getting that Ah Ha! perfect name yet. It has to be...perfect. Any ideas? ~Lili~ at 2:21 PM | I'm Bragging and It's Okay! My husband hooked me up with a beautiful new car last night - it's a 2007 Dodge Magnum - 5.7 liter V8 Hemi fully loaded with Navigation, Satellite Radio, Sun Roof, Rear DVD Player, Hands free bluetooth, etc etc etc. She's so purty and she handles like a dream - it's brand new 2007 and was sold as a used car because it had 5500 miles on it. Originally it was on the showroom floor and this is what my new baby looks like - you may gawk!   
~Lili~ at 11:01 AM | Asshole Part 2 It gets worse.... My ex husband has been giving my son a hard time about not fighting back against that kid. Now Jo is seeking retaliation and wants to punch this kid if he sees him. I sat down with Jo again and gave him all the reasons I could think of and then some. Believe me, I covered all the bases and told him that because of what is going on around the country any act of violence on his part will be met with huge punishment and he will be made an example of. I also told him that listening to his fathers advice puts him on the fast track to leading his father's life. He agreed to a certain extent but I can't be sure that I got through to him. My ex is also making stupid threats if I don't agree to his money deal - see below.....and is just being an all around asshole. When I told him that I wanted him to talk to the DA first he got pissed off and said that basically I was telling him "no". I said "no, you came at me with an offer and that is my counter offer and to be honest I'm kind of pissed off that you waited until your son was almost 17 to get your shit together and start taking care of things". He said he promised he'd pay, I told him he's made me many promises in the past and never came through why should I trust him now? Then he said, "I promsied you I'd do it, what happens if I get locked up or can't make a payment then I'm screwed. The DA will suspend my license again." My response - "you just promised me you'd do it - I don't see what the problem is - just promise the DA not me". Jo asked yesterday if his dad had called me and I said no, why? He told me that he talked to his father and he is going to go through the DA but he is pissed about it. The clincher is that Jim told Jo - "Your mom is pissed off because I am puttng more time and energy into my relationship with Amber than I did with her." First of all, why he continues to discuss money matters with my son, forcing him to be in the middle is something that sends me over the fucking edge. I've asked him not to do it but he won't listen. Second - jealous? Me? That's a good one - the best advice I could give Amber (and advise one of Jim's good friends gave her) is get out now while you can. The best thing I ever did was leave him and I only kick myself that I didn't do it sooner. Poor Jo is in the middle and had to hear me bitch about that one - although I should have just kept my mouth shut and I feel badly for perpetuating the bullshit. I wish I could send my ex away to the Cornfields forever..... I wish I could find out who his damned parole officer is - I have all kinds of information that would be "of interest" to that person. If Jim could just go away to prison for say 2 more years.... life would be a dream sweetheart! Stuff Heading to the Ren Faire this weekend and really looking forward to it. It's going to be hot and fun and and and...I get to see my girls! I am taking 2 trips to Vegas next month - the first a girls only trip and no business. Karen, Laura and I will drive out and stay with my friend Debbie. The second trip is business right after memorial weekend and the hubby is going to drive out with me. I booked a Junior Suite at the Palm hotel and am hoping we like it. I had a room at the Hard Rock but heard so many bad things about it I changed the reservation. We are also getting the cemet poured in the backyard Saturday- 1 1/2 trucks worth! The backyard is coming along nicely! We refi-ed the house and because we brought our credit scores up we locked in a better rate and were able to get a little equity. I am also looking for my new car - Poor Cherry has over 90,000 miles on her and is starting to have some issues. She runs great but needs 2 new tires again, and I still have an issue with the gas tank being off a bit - but as long as I set my trip odometer I'm good. I am looking at getting a used Infiniti FX35 because I think they are funky and beautiful looking, plus they handle very well. I'll keep you posted. I am having lunch this Friday with 2 girls I went to High School with and who I haven't seen in 5 and 10 years respectively. That should be a trip! They both live very close to where we grew up.
